Emeril Lagasse in Las Vegas

The enormous success of chef Emeril Lagasse in the last half dozen years or so has prompted a signature line of cooking products, cook books, exclusive ingredients and launched his hugely popular Food Network show. Emeril’s business corporation now heads up a number of restaurants in notable cities throughout the country, and Las Vegas is proud to be one of them.

About Emeril Lagasse

Emeril was born in Massachusetts and studied culinary arts at Johnson and Wales University. After formal studies, Emeril went to Europe where he trained with chefs skilled in classical French cuisine. After returning to the United States, Emeril ultimately landed in New Orleans, quickly becoming head chef at Commander’s Palace, a hugely popular restaurant where he remained for a number of years. There he learned the skills and techniques of his Creole recipes and his celebrity career was launched.

New Orleans Fish House, MGM Grand Hotel

The New Orleans Fish House in the MGM Grand Hotel was opened in 1995. The interior is upscale, contemporary and spacious, with pockets of ambient colored light. His signature “Emeril” in aqua neon is suspended in the center of the large dining room.

In keeping with his New Orleans Gulf Coast tastes, Emeril’s menu is abundant in seafood: lobster, shrimp, scallops, salmon, oysters and crab, tuna and bass. Appetizers and entrees feature Creole-infused dishes such as the Creole Maine Lobster with andouille sausage or the Creole calamari.

Delmonico’s Steakhouse, The Venetian Hotel, Resort and Casino
Opened in 1998, Delmonico’s followed in the footsteps of the well-established New Orleans Fish House. Emeril’s steakhouse features a well-appointed bar and cigar collection. The dining room is trendy, but retains a classic feel with high-backed brown leather dining chairs.

Delmonico’s is an award-winning Las Vegas restaurant. The menu features a broad selection of steaks: New York strip, rib eyes and filets. Once again, the meals are often Creole in character. There is a featured “Creative Fish of the Day,” besides grilled lamb, pork and salmon.

Besides the New Orleans Fish House and Delmonico’s, Emeril oversees the business of another half dozen restaurants across the country.
